Balancing Career and Family…
"Last week, I overheard someone say, ‘You can’t have it all.’"
It made me pause. I used to believe this too, especially as a working parent. There was always a choice: family or career.
But what if I told you that balance isn’t about choosing?
It’s about aligning.
I used to spend my days trying to keep up with work demands while thinking about all the moments I was missing with my kids.
It felt impossible. But then, I made a small shift: instead of trying to “balance” in the traditional sense, I redefined what balance meant for me.
Balance, for a working parent, doesn’t mean splitting everything 50/50 every day, it means giving your best where it’s needed most at that moment. Some days, work takes the lead, other days, family does. And that’s okay.
The key? Set boundaries, define your own version of success, and let go of the need to be perfect.
"The trick to balance is to not make balance the goal." – Simon Sinek
