THE MATERNITY LEAVE CLUB
An in person, bring-your-baby wellbeing circle for new mums, held in various locations in London
Join anytime · Babies are very welcome
Becoming a mother is huge — emotionally, mentally, physically. It’s called Matrescence. But no one gives you a space to process it.
The Maternity Leave Club is a supportive guided circle for new mothers on maternity leave who want connection, clarity, community, and a chance to feel more like themselves again. No pressure, no judgement.
What to Expect in your Session
When you arrive, you’ll settle in at your own pace, no rush, no pressure.
We’ll start with a gentle grounding moment, then explore the week’s theme (identity, mental load, loneliness, confidence, partner dynamics, return to work, etc.).
You’ll be invited into a guided reflection or small-group chat, always optional and always at your pace.
Your baby may feed, cry, nap, wriggle or need cuddles. It’s all completely normal and welcome.
Most mums leave feeling lighter, clearer, seen, validated more connected.
What Happens in each Circle:
A warm, calm 90-minute, local in person session, giuded by a Certified matrescence coach
A grounding moment
A short teaching on matrescence or early motherhood
Guided discussion or reflection
A simple takeaway tool you can use at home
A friendly group of mums who get it
It’s not another baby class. It’s support for you, with baby happily in tow.
Why This Isn’t a Baby Class
Most classes on maternity leave are built around the baby. This one is built around you.
If you’ve ever left a baby class thinking, “That was lovely, but I still feel overwhelmed / lonely / unsure of myself,” this is the missing piece.
No singing, no choreography, no crafts. Just space to breathe, reflect, laugh, learn, and connect.
Your baby is welcome, but you are the focus.
Themes that we may cover:

You feel less alone: community reduces postnatal anxiety.
You gain language for your experience: understanding matrescence normalises your emotions.
You learn tools for overwhelm: simple, grounding practices you can use anytime.
You lighten the mental load: naming it takes pressure off.
You rebuild confidence: gently and without judgement.
You feel more prepared for returning to work: clarity reduces stress.
You’re supported, not judged: this is a safe, warm space for mothers.
